EXCEL StayClean is an easy-to-apply, single-step application coating designed to increase the efficiency of solar panels. Through its anti-static properties, it prevents dust and debris build up.

It is also self-cleaning given it’s hydrophilic properties, which allows unwanted particles to be easily removed with only water rather than harsh chemical cleaners. Not only do the self-cleaning properties allow for an increase in photovoltaic efficiency, but also lower maintenance costs and frequency.

Application Procedure

  • Surface Preparation

    Surfaces must be dry and free from oil, dust, dirt, grease and loosing materials. The substrate should be clean. Use IPA to clean/degrease the surface.

  • Substrate Priming

    No priming required.

  • Application

    Stir well before use. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Apply the material by wiping it over the surface using a lint free cloth. It is recommended to apply 3 coats of EXCEL StayClean to get the desired effect. Apply consecutive coating after complete drying of the previous quote.

  • Curing

    It requires 5 to 10 mins to dry in between 2 coats and 48 hours curing is adequate for complete curing. low temperature and high humidity will slow down the curing process. In case of expecte drains, do not apply EXCEL StayClean.

Health and Safety

Eyes should be protected from splashes by wearing goggles. In the event of contact with your eyes irritate immediately with clean water and seek medical attention. Skin contact should be avoided by wearing protective gloves and outer clothing. The product maybe removed from the skin when wet by water and soap, and when dry by using a proprietary hand cleaner.

If ingested, seek medical attention immediately.

If it is proven that the product does not perform as described in our TDS, EXCEL COATINGS’s liability extends solely to the free replacement of product, once the claim has been accepted after due investigation by EXCEL COATINGS. EXCEL COATINGS will not entertain any claims involving any form of consequential costs or damages such as shipping costs, custom duties, damages to third parties, damages to structures, penalties from delay of a project or any other form of consequential damage.
